Report to Goldshire

It was almost two years ago that I was first given a document to take to Marshal Dughan in Goldshire.

"Goldshire lies along the southern road, past the border gates."

I had no idea what would await me. I remember not having a clue how far Goldshire was, and it actually seemed far away!

Funny, when you think how far it is to travel to Darnassus, Stranglethorn Vale, or Nethergarde Keep, or Ratchet, or Light's Hope Chapel, or to the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj.

I've been feeling nostalgic for the feeling of awe and wonderment that WoW gave me.

Give me a moment while I make my way past the border gates and head south down the road to this small town named Goldshire, perhaps I can find a place to rest once I get there...

Heh, I remember when in my second day in WoW someone ran me from Teldrassil to Stormwind. I was on follow most of the time, but I sat there and watched with a dumbfounded look on my face. Having never played a MMO before I could not conceive of how a game could be THIS BIG.

I look forward to the expansion to recapture a bit of that feeling of WOW in WoW.

MY bigest awe was first darnassus. In the place of my brother and sister night elves this city was huge to me!!..As i ventured and left my homeland, past darkshore and finally made my treck to ironforge to wetlands. The run was long, but the scenery struck me with awe.

I remeber a friend coaching me along lol telling me which way to go and to stick to the path. He met me just on the base of the hill leading up to Ironforge. He then led me into Ironforge and i just stood there literally for 3 min looking around..I remember i said "It reminds me of Lord of the rings" like no other....those were the days hehe
